Research can be defined as an organised and systematic way of finding answers to questions and to increase the stock of knowledge. Research is about producing new knowledge. It can have different names. It can be called an 'inventory', a 'study', a 'review', a 'learning trajectory', etc.
This wiki page will give information about research (in the broadest sense) conducted or commissioned by the ICCO Alliance and its partners in the South.

ICCO has made an overview of research for 2008, in which the (members of) the ICCO Alliance are involved.

Membership INTRAC and EADI
ICCO is member of the NGO Research Programme coordinated by INTRAC, UK.
Twice a year (May and November) a 2-day meeting is organised where European development NGOs to discuss research issues related to their work.

ICCO is also member of EADI, the European Association of Development Research and Training Institutes with around 200 members including major universities and research institutes. They have, among others, a useful portal with research of member institutes:
