Working with Interwise for E-conferencing - English

An introduction on Interwise, now called "AT&T connect" can be found on this site and a demo will be dispalyded on this link. Below you will find a short description on how to prepare your computer for using Interwise and a demo in which the main features will be shown.

 

[System Requirements]

In order to participate in an event please make sure that the following system requirements are being met:

- Windows PC with internet connection (dial-up or faster)

- Be aware that you need to have administrators rights on your computer.

- Preferably us a headset but it is also possible to use microphone/speaker. Please make sure this hardware is connected well before trying out the Interwise connection.

- If you have a webcam it is also possible to use that feature.

 

[Preparing your Computer] To prepare your computer please:

  1. Install the "praticipants application" using this link and install it on your computer. Follow the instructions on your screen. Result: The latest version of the Interwise Participant Application is being installed on your computer.
  2. Test the installation by entering a "test event" using this link. Please accept the legal notice and follow fuirther instructions. Result you will enter ä "test event" so with no other "real" participants.
  3. If you experienced any problems: please let me know either by skype (m.boers) or by email (compartadmin [AT] gmail.com, replace [AT] by @)

 

[Accessing a Meeting]Although you just installed some software on your computer you need not use it directly. To enter an event, you use your Internet browser which automatically will open the Interwise software. So for entering an event you only have to click on the link you will receive by email (or copy it into you Internet browser) and then follow the instructions:

 

You will then enter the meeting room. Please be aware that for every event you will get a new link.

[Participants in Europe]

For participants in Europe (and the US) it is now possible to access the meeting room using the web based interface (i.e. without having to install a programme on your computer, handy for Mac users for instance). However in that case you will need to call in by phone. Only in Europe and the US a toll free number is available (reason why we do not suggest users from outside these areas to use this feature). For some detailed instructions on how to handle in this case please refer to this document.

 

Note: In the (near) future VoIP will also be available web based within the application. So then it will not be necessary anymore to install any software on your PC.

Trabajar con Interwise para tele-conferencias - Español

 

Una introdución general sobre como usar el Interwise para teleconferencias puede encontrar en el sitio interwise.com (en inglés). Tambien podra ver una demonstración de este instrumento usando este enlace (también en inglés). Abajo encontrará una breve explicacion sobre como preparar su computadora para el uso de Interwise con una versión en español.

 

[Requerimientos al sistema] 
Para poder participar en un evento Interwise por favor asegúrese que su sistema responde a los siguientes requerimientos:
  • PC Windows PC con conección Internet (por discado telefónico o más rápido)
  • Asegúrese que tiene derecho de administrador en su computadora.
  • Use con preferencia audífonos pero también es posible de usar alto parlantes y un micrófono. Por favor controle si estas accesorios están bien conectados al PC antes de intentar de conectarse con Interwise.
  • Si tiene un web cam es posible experimentar con el.

 

[Preparar su Computadora instalando versión en español]

Por favor prepare bien su computadora bien antes de una reunión Interwise. Para hacerlo:

  1. Descargue el programa “Participante Interwise” (versión 7) usando este enlace Instale el programa y sigue las instrucciones en la pantalla. Resultado: La versión 7 de la aplicación Interwise Participant en español sera instalado en su computadora.
  2. Para verificar si la instalación fue exitosa por favor use este enlace, accepte las "Legal notices" y sigue las indicaciones uqe recibe. Resultado: Ud. entrará en un evento de prueba (entonces sin otros participantes reales, pero si puede jugar con los diferentes funcionalidades.
  3. En el caso que experimento algún problema por favor envíe un mensaje a compartadmin [AT] gmail.com (reemplaza [AT] por @)

 

La versión de Interwise en Español, no es lo más actualizado y por lo tanto puede no tener las funcionalidades mas recientes.

 

[Ingresar a un evento]

Aunque acaba de instalar un programa en su computadora no es necesario de utilizarlo directamente. Para entrar a un evento recibirá un enlace del organizador que puede utilizar en las horas indicadas haciendo clic en el enlace o copiándolo en su navegador de Internet. Entonces recibirá un nuevo enlace para cada evento que participara.
